District Swimming Gala November 2016

Calling all 2nd Coatbridge Cubs, Scouts & Explorers! Our district swimming gala is on Saturday 19th November at Sir Matt Busby sports centre, Bellshill. 3pm – 6.30pm. Parents are welcome to come along and spectate. 

We are looking for swimmers! See the categories below (you can enter more than one) and let your section leader know if you are interested. Make yourself known by the start of November.

The Cub Scout races will be one breadth of the pool with the Cub Final being ONE LENGTH. 

  1. 1 Breadth (freestyle) – 2 Cubs Required Under 9 years 6 months
  2. 1 Breadth (Freestyle) – 2 Cubs Required Over 9 years 6 months
  3. 1 Breadth (Breast Stroke) – 2 Cubs Required Under 9 years 6 months
  4. 1 Breadth (Breaststroke) – 2 Cubs Required Over 9 years 6 months 
  5. 4 x 1 Breadth Relay (Freestyle) – 4 Cubs Required Any age

The Scout races will be one length for heats and one length for finals.

  1. 1 Breadth (freestyle) – 2 Scouts Required Under 12 years
  2. 1 Breadth (Freestyle) – 2 Scouts Required Over 12 years
  3. 1 Breadth (Breast Stroke) – 2 Scouts Required Under 12 years
  4. 1 Breadth (Breaststroke) – 2 Scouts Required Over 12 years 
  5. 4 x 1 Breadth Relay (Freestyle) – 4 Scouts Required Only TWO Scouts over 12 years

Scouts & Explorers Date for your Diary

Scouts & Explorers some dates for your up coming events in November.

  • November 7th – Chief Scout awards evening (Mark will update those Scouts, Explorers on this)
  • November 12th – Poppie selling Coatbridge.
  • November 13th – Rememberance parade and Service, please do your best to attend, We will remember them.
  • November 19th – Swimming Gala, Bellshill (Mark will be updating Swimmers after half term break)
  • November 26th – Our Annual Christmas Family Fayre HO HO HO.

November looking to be a busy Month, so looking for your normal support 2CB.

Christmas Fayre 2016

Hi all!

Christmas is coming…yes it’s that time again CHRISTMAS FAYRE! Parents, Family, Friends we are looking for donations for our Family Christmas Fayre on Saturday 26th November 10am till 1pm – keep the date free!  Bottles of wine/spirits/beer, Tombola prizes, bric a brac, CDs, sweets, etc etc.

Remember all funds raised go to supporting the everyday adventure for your Scout group. Simply hand in your donations to your Childs section Leader.

Family Halloween Party – SOLD OUT!

Our first family Halloween Party will be held on Saturday 29 October from 6 pm to 10 pm in the Scout Hall. This event is for both the children (all sections) and adults to attend.

This will be a Bring your Own Bottle with mixers available to buy. There will be a disco with lots of fun activities for both the adults and kids. There will be a selection of snacks, burgers and hot dogs to buy on the night.

Tickets will be £3 per adult (kids go free). We need to know numbers as soon as possible so would be grateful if you could complete the tear off slip given out!
