Dates for your Diary Saturday 22nd April 2023 – Race Night (Adults Only)Saturday 13th May 2023 – Work Party (11yrs+ accompanied with an adult. Weather permitting.)Saturday 3rd June 2023 – Summer Fun Day (All welcome)16th-18th June 2023 – Group Camp (Beavers Sat-Sun only) Executive Committee The running of the group is overseen by the Executive committee. We are currently looking for a group secretary. The role shouldn’t be time consuming. The executive committee meets quarterly. If you think you could do the role – drop your section contact an email. Work Party/Maintenance Roof We are in need of a new roof/roof repairs. If anyone is able to help advise us on this please get in touch! Work Party We are planning a work party for Saturday 13th May, weather permitting. We plan to do some fence painting and other tasks outside at the hall. No particular skills necessary there’ll be plenty of tasks to do. Please only bring young people 11yrs+, and they should be accompanied by an adult. We’ll send out more details nearer the time. Fund Raising Committee Pre-covid we had a fundraising committee. At present we don’t have such a team in place, this puts a lot of pressure on our leadership team who would rather be focussing on delivering quality programmes for the young people of the group. We’d love to get this going again as we will be in need of some serious fundraising for hall repairs (roof) and Kandersteg 2025 (a trip to Switzerland on offer to all those Scout aged and above in 2025 that we do every 4 years). The first event we’re planning is a Race Night, Saturday 22nd April. If we can get a team setup, this will not be a big time commitment for you.
